INTERNACIONAL GT OPEN + PTCC

INTERNATIONAL GT OPEN: This Championship originated in Spain and is now an event in several European countries, and will come again to our Circuit this year. The event, disputed by gentlemen drivers, features two-seater sports cars (Porsche, Ferrari, Ginetta and KTM) and has a profile similar to Spain's GT, with two races of 200 km each.

PTCC: The formula for the success of this national championship for touring cars, lies in the blueprint of FIA's WTCC, the World Touring Car Championship, but with more relaxed technical regulations. This is an event filled with adrenaline and emotion that you don't want to miss.

LE MANS SERIES 

Team spirit is the essence of the legendary race conceived in France. Fostering an unparalleled spirit among the Teams, this event is a unique opportunity to witness a show of pure speed and endurance, where GT cars (Aston Martin, Audi, Corvette, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Peugeot, Porsche) and Diesel versus Gasoline prototypes, souped-up to the highest level, come together to produce an emotion-charged show.

OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP SPEED / VODAFONE

Throughout the days of the several days of the Vodafone/ Speed Open Championship you’ll be able to watch different classes in action, such as Stocksport 1000cc and Stocksport 600, the leading categories. The racing for the national trophies will be pure non-stop emotion, whether in the PromoCup, which is accessible to amateur drivers, or the Troféu 85 and the Copa Cool, a race designed for under-18s, or the Classic Cycles Trophy. A time charged with adrenaline and national pride, a great opportunity to check out the best Portuguese Motor bikers in a single event. Don’t miss it!

CAMPEONATO FIA-GT (GT3 e GT4)

Dream cars and exclusive makers, like Aston Martin, Corvette, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, Porsche e Saleen, fill up a paddock totally open to public viewing, giving every fan an opportunity to see at close range the cars, the drivers, from ex-Formula 1 veterans to the young promises of the auto world, and the teams. The Championship is exclusively open to private teams, whatever the make they race. On the circuit, the performance of cars and drivers provides an incredibly exciting show, with thrilling “battles” fought right up to the last turn.

GP2 SERIES + World Cup FIA-GT (GT1 and GT2)

Regarded as the antechamber for Formula 1, the GP2 category is a mandatory pass for aspiring young drivers with their sights set on the top level of auto sports. Each Event consists of two races in which the first eight placements of the first race leave in reverse order in the second race, i.e. the first leaves from eight on the grid, the second seventh, etc. The GP2 category is at present one of the most competitive events in Europe, registering performances that surpassed only by Formula 1. With cars much the same for all, it's the driver that makes the difference at the wheel of the Dallara chassis with 600cv Mecachrome engine. There will be 26 drivers and 13 teams at the start of the 10 double rounds of the GP2 championship Main Series, of which 9 races will be run within the Formula 1 Programme.

ALGARVE HISTORIC FESTIVAL

Join us for theinaugural challenge of the Event! A party occasion with the special "brand" of Autódromo International do Algrave, that will take us back into the past and show you some of the mythical cars of the most emblematic races of world motorsport, such as the "Grand Prix Master", Formula 1 of the 1970s and other vintage racing cars, prototypes, touring cars of the 20s, 50s, and 60s, among many others.

CAMPEONATO DO MUNDO DE SUPERBIKES

Now in the 22nd Edition, the Superbike World Championship is a thrilling event, with tremendous potential and, this year, with the added value of having already 7 makers at the starting line (Aprilia, BWM, Ducati, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha), and a record number of 32 riders. In the Supersport category we'll be able to cheer the "house" Team. Parkalgar Racing Team, and in particular Portuguese rider is now more prepared and confident than ever to claim a place in the Top Ten of the 2009 season. Come Miguel Praia and lend your support to our team.

GT SPAIN CHAMPIONSHIP: This Championship originated in Spain and holds races in Portugal and Spain only, following the principles of other GT Championships. The event lines up two-seater sports car (Aston Martin, Corvette, Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini) for 2 races of 200 km each. Don't miss the exitement of this Championship which will bring together several Portufuese drivers.
